Stats ma'am, just the stats

OK, so I haven't been paying close attention to the actual baseball standings. All I hear about are how bad the Yankees are, yadda yadda yadda and I keep in mind that they usually suck this time of year. So this morning I look at the standings and I gotta' ask, What's all the noise about? OK, they are one game short of .500, but hmm, let's see, Oakland, 11-18; Baltimore, 13-19; I know, people love to hate the rich guy, but when you do your fantasy baseball teams, c'mon, if you had the 'bucks' to buy a top player, would you really take the high road and say, no, I won't pay top dollar for the player I want, I'll stay with a cheap guy??
