Nuts Nissim's NFL Picks Week 9

I'm still feeling the high from the New York Yankees World Series win.

Washington at Atlanta
Falcons have lost two straight, first losing streak under second-year coach Mike Smith and QB Matt Ryan has thrown seven INTs in last three games. The Redskins are 2-5 despite playing one of league's weakest schedules. Which means they stink.
Atlanta

Miami at New England
Patriots have allowed only 98 points scored against them this season. the Fake Fish have 2 of the top 8 rushers Ronnie Brown is sixth with 578 yards and Ricky Williams is eighth with 423. Pats will take advantage of the warmer weather.
New England

Arizona at Chicago
Speaking of the weather, wonder if Cardinals won't freeze up when they hit Chicago. Cardinals QB Kurt Warner threw five interceptions last week, and Panthers ran off 270 yards against what was No. 1 run defense.
Chicago

Houston at Indianapolis
Colts QB Peyton Manning needs one more win to tie Fran Tarkenton for fourth on NFL's career list. Texans have been picking up the pace, but this is a home field advantage for the Colts.
Indianapolis

Baltimore at Cincinnati
Poe Boys QB Joe Flacco has thrown touchdown pass in seven straight games. Last time these teams met, Poe Boys LB Ray Lewis drew 15-yard penalty for hit on WR Chad Ochocinco during Bengals winning drive. Wonder which team will be more fired up.
Baltimore

Green Bay at Tampa Bay
Battle of the Bays. Buccaneers rookie QB Josh Freeman, 17th pick in draft, will make first NFL start. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is league's highest-rated passer.
Green Bay

Kansas City at Jacksonville
Now here's a team that's popular in its market. The game will be blacked out on local television and could break the Jags franchise record for lowest attendance (42,088), set two weeks ago against St. Louis. So if the fans don't care, should I?
Jacksonville

Detroit at Seattle
OK, this might be one of my crazy picks. I've looked at the numbers, and nothing jumps out at me one way or the other. Spread has Seahawks at 10. But Lions have faced tougher teams so far this season. Yeah, they lost to the Rams, but someone had to.
Detroit

Carolina at New Orleans
The Saints have scored over twice as many points this season as the Cats. (273-128). Cats QB Jake Delhomme, Louisiana native and former Saints backup, is 8-2 vs. Saints. OOps, let's make that 8-3.
New Orleans

San Diego at New York Giants
So I'm watching last week's Giants game vs. the Eagles and wondering how I missed Eli Manning's getting signed by the Eagles. He better step it up this week.
New York Giants

Tennessee at San Francisco
Titans snapped an 0-6 start and eight-game skid overall by beating Jacksonville last Sunday coming off its bye week. QB Vince Young started for first time in more than a year and completed 15 of 18 passes for 125 yards and a TD and INT. Maybe he's well rested now and ready to go.
Titans

Dallas at Philadelphia
Let's make it 100. The Cowboys have faced no team more than the Eagles (99 times) It's another one of those games where I don't want EITHER team to win. Hmm, let's check the NFC East standings....Oh, I'm on a stick-it-to-Philly roll.
Dallas

Pittsburgh at Denver
This is the Monday Night game. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is 4-0 on Monday nights. This week they're up against the Broncos, who's defense is rated No. 1 right now. Weather won't be a factor, since it gets cold in Pittsburgh, too. And those Bronco toss-back uniforms, ugh. Gut says Broncos.
Denver

THURSDAY

Chicago at San Francisco

Going into this one blind, not knowing how either team will have done on Sunday......
Chicago

Season Stats:

Last week: 9-4

Season: 66-34
